Palo for OpenOffice
Features
Features for the OpenOffice.org Calc are made available via the menu "Palo", which is inserted upon start of the extension.
Create view
This option allows to insert views of Palo Cubes into a OpenOffice Calc spreadsheet. With the selection of a database and a cube from the Palo Server you can select dimensions to use as a filter and for displaying them in rows and columns. The generated worksheet report is interactive. A double click on a filter elements opens a dialog for selecting an element as a filter. A double click on a row- or column element expands or folds the hierarchy of this element, if it is a consolidated element.
Paste elements
Elements from Dimensions are pasted vertically or horizontally into the worksheet.
Paste function
After selection of the server, the database and a cube the worksheet function PALO.DATA(...) for fetching the values from a cube ican be pasted on the worksheet. The parameters for the dimension elements, necessary to locate a cell within a cube are identified in the surrounding cells, if possible.
Import data
Imports worksheet data.
Modeller
Opens a dialog to administrate the Palo server
- Create and delete databases and cubes.
- Create, edit and delete dimensions, elements and attributes.
- Create, edit and delete roles and configure the rights for these roles.
- Assign roles to user groups.
Create snapshot
Removes specific Palo functions from the worksheet e. g. and replaces them with the values to pass the worksheet to someone without access to Palo.

The version 2.0.2 of the extension is available right here. The OXT-File has to be added via the Extension Manager.
